Mouse lockups/spins (video problem)

I just cant play Q3 this way, for some reason, freqvently happens that my screen starts spinning very fast (by looking up or downwards) by itself, I totally loose control over the mouse, or just keeps going in one direction, starts shooting, (though this one is rare) pulls out the mouse from my hand (turns away) when I'm aiming with rail and other weird stuff.
I switched to different mices (optical and ball) but nothing changed. In time I also changed motherboard, cpu, still nothing.
I am sure now that is video related. I have an FX5200 128MB card, but i tested also with an old TNT64, and GeForce2 with same results.
However it worked with a matrox G400.
I've tried with numereus nVidia driver versions, demo, full Q3...
Anybody experienced anything similar, what shuld I do?
PLEASE HELP!
Thank You!

check the setting of in_mouse in the console, and change it to its other setting.

If its 1, set it to -1
If its -1, set it to 1
Then restart the game.

You'll have to re-tweak your sensitivity, but it should resolve the issue.

Also you never mentioned whether you patched the game or not, but the mouse code changed a lot between the original 1.11 version and 1.32 which is the latest.

Turn off mouse acceleration as well (in windows control panel and in quake)

Umm it's m_accel 0 or something (don't remember)

Turn off video sync too r_finish 0

I believe you're thinking of "cl_mouseaccel 0"?
