yer, AVG seems to be getting the best all-around reviews. was just wondering if there was some secret app that people felt was better for one reason or another.

were i to spend $50 i'd probably suggest f-secure just because i like them.

Hurr probably because dumb people don't post their questions in the appropriate forum.

T&Ts new topic volume is low but the time for replies is very low and they're always relevant.

Theres BETTER free out there. Avast being one of them.

AVG is the false positive king, and nearly the worst on finding the real bad shit.

Must be a piece of shit if I haven't had any malware ever since I started using it. Two years now.

I've used both AVG and Avast and I haven't had problems with either one.

Avast has a better UI. AVG is slightly better on memory usage.

IMO, it's a coin toss. Pick a flavour.

instead of flaming everyone that has offered avg as a solution, why not explain why it's a pos and shouldn't be used. It must be a pretty good reason for 30mbs of space to not even be worthy.

False positives, More than any AV ive ever used.
Missed KNOWN virii. Had it happen dozens of times.

Those are the only 2 reasons anyone needs.

AVG has 2 good things tho. Its light weight (Because its real time sucks), and its free.
