help with vista networking

hies, I'm trying to get an ericson internet card to work on a vista machine, together with the wireless lan that I have 2 pc's on.
problem is, I can't get both of them to work at the same time.. when I settup a network for the lan through a wireless router, then Internet explorer doen't pick up the ericson connection I havw setup.
if the ericson connection is the only one under netwoerk connections then IE picks it up and the internet works.
I have tried to specifiy which connection to use under the connection tab in IE but it wont give me an option to choose the ericson network settings.... very frustrating.
don't ask why I am using the card for internet service, because for now that's the only choice I have.
