I'm trying to record some stuff on quake to mix on Windows Movie Maker. First of all...

Does anybody know how to stop the game from showing somebody's name when they are in the center of the screen? This has brought up multiple problems.

Also, does anybody know a program to record with that works like Hypercam but doesn't have the annoying "Unregistered" marker?

cg_drawCrosshairNames "1" -- change to 0

and try fraps

fraps has a http://www.fraps.com watermark though

camtasia didn't have a watermark last time i tried, but it is slow and uses its own codec

also ioquake3 has built in video recording, though it only captures from recorded demos
