problems with getting server online

ok, before you go on and say "www.portforward.com" dont bother. i've had that reply thousands of times on various forms.i have did it, forwarded my router and all that stuff, but my server is still lan. any suggestions why?

Only accessible from within his LAN would be my wager.
@OP: what's the IP address you give to people?
