My parents recently changed their ISP, from Optimum Online 14000/1500kbps to Verizon ~750/120kbps to save money. I didn't really mind as I'm usually away at college and all they use the computer is for email & internet (plus it's 30 bux cheaper).

At school, the speeds are around 4000/4000, and there is 4GB/512MB bandwidth limit per 7 days. Be sure to check your college's network rules and policies. Fortunately, we have a DirectConnect hub, which allows us to bypass that. :)

As amidy said, be a little careful. I know the RIAA have been pressuring colleges to take more action with piracy--such as sending "pre-litigation" letters to some: http://slyck.com/story1446_RIAA_College ... _Continues

We do not have a bandwidth limitation. Yea, I'm trying to watch any illegal downloads, as in none.
