The Team Fortress 2 beta will be released on Steam in a few hours, to everyone that pre-ordered the Orange Box.

I am. Sadly ill be at work on a subpar computer, so ill be playing WoW instead.

Been playing Fortress Forever for the past couple of days. Plays just as well as TFC.. and I expect TF2 to be even better. Woooo

I am on Mal'Ganis, alliance. I have a 70 warrior, my current main, and my old character, a paladin. I run him around in his pre-TBC epics and use him to farm. I also have a 70 horde paladin that I will transfer to Mal'Ganis in a month to PvP with VXIX (clan 519 from Quake) but right now he is on the Underbog with irl friends.

I guess they are waiting till about 6PM PST (-8:00 GMT). This is so that when the game is released, it is not overcrowded by a bunch of 11 year olds running around acting like idiots, ruining the game. Instead this way more mature players will be in game from the start, giving the game a better impression of teamwork. That's my guess.

Once again undereducated game developers think the Earth is flat and everybody lives in the US. It is Tuesday already in some parts of globe and the devs in the US are not even awake yet. When you say that it will be released at "Monday evening" 80% planet population is living in Tuesday. You should always inflate beta/demo release dated by +24 hours.
