ok..so I broke my damn wrist from flying off of my bike, and the doc put a cast on so when I'm sitting at the desk, when I put my left arm up on the desk my thumb is somewhat forced to aim towards the ceiling. I have to pick up my elbow straight up in the air at a perfect horizontal angle to be able to touch the keyboard with my all of my fingers. The cast is heavy as hell..so it's impossible to hold my arm up. I'm a drummer, an I set up one of my cymbal stands and tied the sling the doc gave around it to my arm to hold it up, and that didn't even work very well as it was still hard to even touch my pointer finger..plus made strafing to the right somewhat impossible. So..anybody have an idea...or had to deal with this before..and has the fix... I wouldn't mind having some idea's. I'll be going nuts if I have to go without fragging for six to eight weeks. AARGH! I suppose that I'm a crybaby, but the only good part about this situation is the painkillers

edit: just take a couple weeks off. wank with your other hand for a while. read a book. etc. you'll thank yourself (and sometimes taking a little time off can improve your game).

you broke your wrist? Oh damn, man. You dont think that the time off gaming would be beneficial for other fecets of life?

Modify your mouse.

If you have enough buttons, set one to run and one to jump.

Actually, I always have run on. MOUSE2 for jumping. It's the damn mouse roller that's messing me up. I haven't used it for like 6 years...and that prohibits me from doing weapon combo's. My promode play has definitely went out the door until I get this thing off. It's even difficult in VQ3...when going from a RL/LG to RG...RL to SG, so on and so on.

hehe..now there's a bad comparison. Doom is what I've playing around with lately, since it's so damn simple of a game vs. Cpma gameplay. You should try some promode possibly? Try doing that with one hand.....maybe you have ten fingers on one hand.

try tomb raider... i know plenty of guys who beat that game with only one hand on the controller... if you catch my drift. *wink wink*

if you run this thread under a subext filter it grows by thirty pages for every time someone has said "one hand" "beat the game".

i dont bind weapons to keys so it doesnt really matter :icon32:
