i've got the latest avast, updated zonealarm, even did an online scan..

for the past 45 mins, every few mins avast detected 23 viruses, some i deleted some moved to chest but they just keep popping up without an end..

this is on a brand new HD that i got 2-3 days ago, i've got ALL updates possible, i even made sure before i hit the web to protect myself, and i havent even downloaded anything yet, just browsing q3w playing q3a...

this is ridiculous

make that virus 24 as i type this ffs

sys restore is the first thing i turn off

Maybe avast is seeing its own quarentine files with the viruses inside and turning them into positives.

Ok, Norton does suck IMO. But, this just kicks ass all over town. When peps talk about norton I assume the mean the one you buy at Wal-Mart and adds 10+ processes to the PC. The one in the shot below is by far the best AV out there...tried it?

Don't sit there and say, "IT's NORTON, BLAHHH!"...have you tried it?

Well just today I found a virus in my java folder that was making my Systemworks 2003 go haywire, after deletion of virus and reinstallation of Systemworks it is still going insane. Anyone know what the hell is going on or how to fix it, I ran HouseCall and PC Pitstop, Pando would not run. Any help on getting this SoB would be appreciated.

I've noticed that the Norton '03 products had a bad habit of taking down the whole system when they went FUBAR. '04 was better, and so far, '05 stuff has been perfectly nice playing with others for me.

Well now every time i start SpyBoy S&D it gives me a BSOD, definatly some feaky shit going on, I will prolly back up all my data to CD, reinstall Windows and pickup a copy of Systemworks 2005, I have used 2004 and 2005 in the office and i do love the ability to pause a scan, along with Ghost 9.0

Symantec Corporate does indeed own in a really big way.
