Bugs in Bed

anyone else fucking hate the idea of bugs crawling around in bed with you? i keep my room clean and wash my bedsheets regularly to discourage the infestation of any sort of little prehistoric freak.

well last night i suddenly woke up and sat straight up. in my left hand i was holding something that felt like a brittle leaf or bark chip. i had no idea how i managed to grab this object before suddenly bolting upright for an unexplained reason so i rolled it around my fingers to figure out what it was. my senses were still comming to me so i wasn't thinking too clearly when i decided to do this. by the time i realized it might be a bug i had already rolled it between my thumb and index finger for a good 10 seconds. upon realizing it might be a bug i freaked out, jumped out of bed and threw the bloody thing down. i went to turn on the light and when i came back to look and see what it was i saw this...

Image

it was 3-4 centimeters long and missing several legs from me rolling it around. it was still alive so i grabbed some tissues and squished the fucker. it bled purple which i had never seen before.

two things struck me as odd about this. normally you find these things outside under rocks or in woodpiles, wtf was it doing in my room, in MY bed?! secondly, how did i manage to grab it and sit up before waking up?

:olo: Fucking awesome

Nasty centipedes declared war with me this past summer. I fucking hate those bastards and there's nothing better than crushing one to death, although the legs take off on their own.

Oh and clicky

Also the pic julios posted is a common house centipede. They live in and around furniture and mattresses, laying eggs in tight, dark places. The one Stu posted looks a lot like an earwig, never seen that type of centipede before.

yup. positive it was of the garden variety. i would have been 100x more freaked out had it been the later.

oh and i would probably die of a heart attack if i woke up holding a fucking camel spider.

I woke up in bed one night because I felt one of those nasty fuckers crawling on my neck.

I'm okay with just about all kinds of bugs as long as they stay out of my damn house. If it comes inside its life is over.

I found the obviousness of your remark very funny for some reason.

I had bedbugs in a hotel room this summer, freaked the SHIT out of me. Bitch nigga who ran the hotel got a piece of my mind, too, since the smell of mothballs in the room let me know that he knew beforehand.

:olo:

Today I went to the quilt shop to pick up some fabric. I saw something in my perpherial vision, looked down and there was a spider about the size of a silver doller. It ran under a basket followed by another one. The reaction caused by two spiders in a store filled with women was priceless. All of a sudden, two spiders became a million spiders and everyone's yelling "someone kill it!! someone kill it!!"

I was standing safely near the door, ready to flee if it came in my direction. One of the women employees was given a fly swatter. I've seen people walk towards their own execution with less reluctance. She did manage to kill both the spiders with minimal shrieking and all returned to normal. I heard she's getting a raise.

Just two days ago I had this one in my sock, I put my sock on, when at the toes I felt something.
SO I thought it was some cotton lint in the sock, so I just adjusted it around with my toes, and it was still annoying.
Then I take my arm and try to adjust my sock, and then I smell this toxic vinegar like smell, I'm like WTF is that??
I smell the fingertip, then for whatever reason I begin to think it's a bug, I take of my sock flip it inside out, and FUUUUUCK!!!!

It was this nastiest fucking looking bug I have ever fucking seen. FUCK, I didn't wear socks for a day.
How the fuck did it get in there, I am extremely paranoid about bugs, and keep everything clean but still,
this fucking twit got in to my sock somehow I mean WTF !!! FUCK !

silverfish are horrid. you normally don't see them but if you do then there's a good chance you have an infestation on your hands that might need to be dealt with.

i was getting ready for bed at an ex-girlfriends place a couple years back when i saw one scurry from under her dresser to an air vent. dear god those fuckers can move fast! she didn't believe what i saw until she saw one herself a few weeks later. it took me a while to get used to sleeping there after that; i was paranoid and couldn't stop itching cuz every little tickle i felt made me think of the fucking bugs.
