Is this a good external network HDD

I like it because it can be hocked straight up to my router, or any router, and all PC's will see it.
However, 350GB is maybe to small for a backup. But big sized ones are bad if it ends up crashing, you would loose more data then.

Check to see what brand of hard drive they use internally. Not a bad price otherwise.

I found out that this is a re-branded Ximeta Netdisk, they just put stickers over that name. It also seems that there is a Seagate barracuda drive in there model ST3320820A.
What was that bad HDD to stay away from Maxtor?

Maxtors were bad for a time, but they got bought out by Seagate. Seagate drives are generally pretty awesome.
