If a week has 7 days and a year has 52 weeks, how come there is 365 days in a year?

Because of leap years that have more days, eh.
You average it out to 365 days.

because a day is a human concept.
the earth rotates on it's axis (a day) and goes around the sun (a year) and we have a moon that orbits us (a month) and humans try to make it all fit.
/in one of our parallel universes... there are no parallel universes...

the 'day' isn't a nice rounded off 24hrs... the extra fraction of an hour each day adds up. And similarly, it's not a nice rounded off 365 days either . As watto said... 'day' is a human concept that is just an approximation of the actual 'time' (what "is" time? :P ) it took for one earth revolution. Since it's not accurate... we correct it every few years and call it a leap year.

Jesus. Maybe because there aren't exactly 52 weeks in a year?
Ever notice that that Jan. 1 doesn't fall on the same day every year?
*sigh* Maths:
There are approx. 52 weeks + 1 day in the year. Or, 52 + 1/7 weeks. Or, 52.142857 weeks in a year.
52.142857 weeks x 7 days/week = 365 days.
Christ.

Thanks Turbine.
That's what I thought, but I just wanted to have a bit of fun with you all.
At least you came up with the clever answer without `` dumbmissising `` me.
Thanks.
