Does anyone here use a KVM Switch in their computer? Abbreviation KVM stands for Keyboard, Video, Mouse. It is a device that lets you connect two or more computers to one keyboard, monitor, and mouse.

I am looking in to getting a quality switch. But I have no idea on what the leading brand is, or what is good and what is bad. I know I have to look for a digital switch, not an analog.

I realized the D-Link 2 port one only has USB 1.1 so thats shit. I will probably get the Cables To Go, it's a little pricey, but I'm hoping it's pricey for a reason, hopefully it works good. Do you have any comments or suggestions?

I would like to get my hand on that camera. One way, or the other.

Belkin makes good ones.

Oh hell no you did not just say that.

I have heard many bad thing about Belkin, including not recognizing many keyboards and mouses, freezing up, and having to restart both computers, lag.

All of those things are true, from belkin's 2-port basic models to their daisy-chaining 16-port rackmount units.

Actually outta all of Belkin's range that I've used myself that 4-port omniview with audio was the only one that never gave me trouble. The cable shield plastic shim thing that fits on the back being rubbish is my only criticism of that model.

Aside from that Belkin KVMs = teh aids

i just got that cables to go one at work,


its awesome, the only downside ( if you wnat to call it that ) is it takes PS/2 keyboard and mouse..

i think you can use the USB Hub to fix that, i havnt read up on it for the simple fact that i use a PS/2 set at work

Its a nice piece of kit though!
