iMac 24"

Damn....what a screen...so clear and bright. 24 inches is monstrous screen real estate (coming from a 17" IIyama CRT).
Just got it last night and didn't have time to set it up yet. It was done in 10 minutes. My little 12" Powerbook looks puny and pale in comparison.
Let's see if I can sync my new HTC touch with the iMac.
p.s. Apple rocks my cock.

I thought you didn't like Mac. I'm keeping Tiger on my ol' Powerbook and I'll just see if Leopard's worth the installation on the iMac

You wouldn't say that if you had used one. I have switched since 2 years now. Still using PC's and XP everyday at work and at home (for Outlook) but it annoys me to hell.

Perhaps its just me but i cant get to grips with everything. It just seems like I am working through syrup. Just seems like i am detached from it. Though i have only attempted to use it twice

I have the same problems when I use one. Maybe it's because I know all the shortcuts on Windows, but it just seems to take twice as long for me to get somewhere or do something on one.

i like them as long as i doen have to do anything on them aside from net-cruising and minor type other stuff.
mind you now that everythings vista all things are equell in regards to way-over-puffed os's so its all good anyways!
anyways the pre-installed os/software may have some model specific tidbits on there that you may want to explore

What kind of Mac does she have?
My workflow is better on the Mac since I don't have to tweak and look for upgrades all the time. I hate formatting, defragmenting, reinstalling my computer and it's something I didn't had to do for two years now since I bought a Apple Powerbook laptop. I still use Windows, but don't want to spend my sparsely available spare time on maintaining an OS that isn't centered on users. That's my opinion.

Yeah, it took me two weeks to get used to the UI. Mainly cause you have to let go of the Windows interface dogma.
I'm using Quicksilver on the Mac, some sort of keyboard shortcut orientated launcher/macro/everything program. Saves me lots of time navigating for the right stuff.

Interesting, but there's no model specific tidbits with OS X. It's just OS X which will install on allmost all Mac Hardware (save for the old shitz).
I haven't used Vista yet so I can't compare the over-puffness of the two OS's....I dunno what you regard as way-over...I do know what you mean. I don't use the Mac Dashboard with all the little eye-candy-handy programs, I keep my Dock with the programs as tiny as possible. I DO like things like Exposé where I can see all the programs that are running with one buttonpress (and the swooshing effect is cool).
I feel like I'm talking too much about this Mac-stuff like a fanboy. The thing is: I like it...better than Windows.
End of test.

I've used plenty of them, and while I don't hate them I'd prefer not to use them.
What I do hate however is the 90% of the mac community that makes it their mission to poorly re recite every Mac vs PC commercial they've seen in hopes that I'll go buy one.

Did you buy Leopard then? You should have been able to get it free. It's either preinstalled or a copy is slipped into the box or you can order/get a free copy from apple.com/Apple Store.

They included a DVD inside the box (I checked it). It's installed now, took quite a while to upgrade though.
Happy Joy Joy!

Nice thing about the included DVD is you should be able to use it to upgrade your Laptop too
Unlike the full OS CD/DVDs, it's not model locked
