Some company jumped on apple's ass for their networking technology that they had called rendezvous. Still, "Bonjour" is a pretty bad alternative for the name. They might as well have gone with calling it "Howdy-Do" technology.

Tibco own the Rendezvous name. I've used their software myself. It's popular in the stock trading world and is kind of like what Apple meant by Rendezvous to boot.
Essentially, it's a UDP networking library.
