Team Deathmatch & CTF changes character.

Hello :up:

I will like to know why does your character changes when you play in the "Skirmish Team Deathmatch & CTF mode" in Quake3, because you take the next player character. I see that you need to die first in order to take your desired character... how can this be fixed.. is that a bug :question:

Also, I was forgetting, how do u use that flying powerup (something like a bird object that makes u fly free)... I have seen it in the Beginner's Guide, but where is it :confused:
or how can u use it or find it

press tab during play to update all models. this delay is there to prevent the game from stuttering every time a new player enters the game.

as for the fly powerup, its only in one or two maps. press jump to ascend and crouch to descent. dont bother tho, its terrible.

I don't think the flight powerup is there in any of the official maps.

Go to the player options in the main menu and turn player deferring off.

Or press ~ and type /cg_deferplayers 0 in the console.

Which you don't wanna do because it's hugely annoying to have your game halt half a second each time someone connects or switches models.
