barack obama seems the least awful of the candidates with an actual chance (i.e. excluding ron paul)

Ohio's isn't until early March. Which basically means I don't get a say in the matter as the winners will (most likely) get picked tonight.

I think it will be Obama w/ the upset over Hillary vs Romney just barely winning over McCain.
I don't think I could in good conscious vote for any of those 4. I might vote for Obama as a vote against Romney or McCain.

Of the actual possibilities I'd pick Obama. I want Ron Paul, but if Hillary gets the nod I'll write in Yosemite Sam or Daffy Duck.

If not Ron Paul, then Hillary by a cunt hair over Obama.

Hillary is exactly what the split republican party needs to bring them together against a common cause. If she gets the nomination, I think the dems lose the presidency to mcain. I hope Obama gets the nomination.

I think both Hillary and Obama could be Democratic killers in there own ways. There are going to be many that don't want a woman president and many that don't want a black president.

This all could end in a Republican upset. But given the current selection, I'd like to see Obama in there. Though Giuliani would have been my first choice.

You're not asuming that I thought Giuliani was Democratic candidate, are you?

Even thought it is all the popular rage right now, I agree with what Bill Mahr says about Obama bringing something to politics that hasn't been there in a long long time. If McCain is the candidate for the republicans and he goes against Obama, I think a lot of the hardcore republicans who hate McCain will either sit out or vote for someone else entirely. But if HIllary comes, they'll go out of their way to get anyone but her in there.

Guliani ran one of the dumbest campaigns in the history of the world with his all or nothing Florida strategy (even though he did spend big money in NH and got hammered there). But he has a history of poor decision making including putting the main emergency response offices in the WTC after it was already bombed once and of course Bernie Kerrick (sp?).

I am not enamored with anyone, but Obama is the only one who I wouldn't absolutely hate to see as president. Speaks volumes to the selection we have now.

I am really surprised at how much people love Guiliani. the people I know here who were big supporters of him thought his handling everything 9/11 was perfect and completely disregared (or more often were completely unaware) of anything thing else about him policy-wise or in terms of what a fuck he has been in many other areas.

Well the MI primary was fucked by our local yokels and Clinton was the only one on the ballot. If she actually tries to seat the MI delegates, there will be hell to pay...the resulting acrimony and sheer faggotry would seriously cripple her chances against a (semi) moderate dude like McCain. If she tries to do this and Howard Dean supports it, the democratic party will be entirely fucked for the next 20 years or so.

IMO the only one worth voting for is Obama...and even that is a serious fucking leap in the dark.

I never said Giuliani was a saint. But he has more "similar" experience running things. He cleaned up one of the largest cities in the US and handled the biggest catastrophe our nation has ever seen. He's a Roe vs Wade supporter, highly against illegal immigration and he's for Stem Cell Research. He seems to be a somewhat liberal Republican and doesn't tow the party line. Granted, he's not a big proponent of organized healthcare or the immediate withdrawal from Iraq. But if you think that you're going to get either of those things from any of the candidates, you're a retard.

Obama is the only one left I would consider voting for.

But what with the SUPER DELEGATES, I have a hard time feeling like voting in the primary is worth the time it takes to update your registration. And the last I read, most of the "Super Delegates" are leaning toward Hillary anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama overwhelmingly won public support in the primaries, only to have Hillary chosen by the Democratic establishment anyway.

I'll still probably vote in the general election. Maybe.

Some of those things are valid points. But if you look into it, he didn't really handle 9/11 that well at all, and he was poorly prepared for it to boot. It's also come to light that he has a penchant for secrecy and cronyism. From everything I've read, I sincerely believe that a Guiliani presidency would be nothing more than Bush Part 2.
