Quiet power supply recommendations?

Hello gents! My PSU has passed on to a better place, so I thought that I might as well use this as an opportunity to buy a quiet one for my computer. As you may have read in my previous thread, Kills On Site has suggested a new case, but I was wondering if its possibly to merely buy a quiet PSU?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I think that I need a 420W, but I'm not sure. I have an Athlon XP 2400+ and a GeForce 6600GT video card.

I have a Corsair 520w. When they came out (a couple years ago) they were reviewed as one of the best performers and very quiet. I've had it over a year, and I agree.

i would agree with creep.. ( as rare as that seems )

if you cant find a local Corsair, check out a OCZ PSU.. a little more money ( due to higher load ratings ) but the same in how quiet they are.

I was unaware that Corsair even made PSUs. I've always used Antec PSUs myself. I think the biggest difference for sound would be a 120mm fan compared to an 80 mm, the 120 will be quieter.

i've tryed a few Antec's psu's and there Quality control has really gone downhill, out of 3 psu's, i've had to return them atleast once..

thats what made me get this OCZ, and i havnt looked back..

Corsair  (especially the HX620W - modular modex adapters)

Most of the Corsairs are rebranded Seasonic PSUs so getting one of those would usually be just as good.
