Is there a command I can enter into the console to save my current configuration?

Thanks.

What I would do is make a backup of your current config and then make an auto exec config to your liking.

Uh, what???

It's actually /writeconfig
And u don't need the .cfg at the end.

Well, what do you know, so it is. You could've phrased it with a little more tact, though.

Yes, yes. Bad form old chap. Quite.

On Topic: If I read up on this whole config file thing, will I find a way to save various player profiles? I mean, If three people are playing Q3 on my computer, and we've got three different characters, can we make it so we don't have to change all the settings each time one of us plays?

Each individual would have a unique config file (my.cfg). When playing they would then type in the console /exec my.cfg. There is no way it can automatically exec a cfg file based on the player profile.

Good luck reading up on this "whole config file thing". There is not much info these days on the commands and variables. If you want some links let me know and I will post what I have from my bookmarks.

Think you. I did a little look around and I think this one's bigger than me. I'll just leave it with my various shortcuts to various mods. Have a great weekend.
