I haven't played this in ~ 6 years... I have been having trouble getting on the multi player games.. anyone have some insight?

try using 'all seeing eye' to find games?

try downloading and using the trial version of this software to find servers.

And make sure you update Punkbuster with the new PB_Setup program found on http://www.evenbalance.com

yahoo pulled the plug on ase and closed their forums down. I'm not even sure if they have the ase master up still. try qtracker instead.
