I love my BFG Tech 6800GT, comes OCed out of the box, not much but an OC all the same. Great service and kick ass looking and performing cards
Also the 6800 Ultra OC is on same at Tiger Direct for 399, that normally retails for 499. Click
Now Foo I repsect your advice, but please give your reasons for it

I have the Gainward 6800GT... hard to get one though. Second best in line would be the BFG. I heard that the ASUS version of the 6800GT only has 12 pipelines though.

The last two cards I've had were ATI and they died in less than two years.
The two nvidias i've owned (GF2 and GF3) are still running happily on friends systems or in servers (going on 5 years for the GF2).
ATI is just not my friend.

I've always run/installed ATI cards and have never experienced a hardware issue

That is the 6800GE (Gamers Edition). It's a funked op regular 6800, with DDR3.
Their regular 6800GT DDR3 has a normal 6800GT core with 16pipes and also 256Meg DDR3 RAM. I have this card, runs very nice.
TO make things more difficult, they also have a 6800GT with 128Meg DDR1 memory, a budget version. It has 16 pipes, but slower memory. A budget solution.
