Quake3World

I haven't played in about 2 years, decided to reinstall and get into it a bit. I installed the PR 1.32 and using ASE. I can get in a couple servers, but most I can't. Servers that appear like I can get into, it starts up at the servers load screen, then goes right back to the main menu. Am I missing something here or what?

probably running mods or you need the map.

You can set cl_allowdownload 1 but if that works it'll take a long time to download the mod content.

The best way to handle this is to check the console once you've been booted back to the main menu. If you pgup far enough (it'll be a long way back in the console log) you'll get to an error that'll tell you what you're missing.

Download xfire. This server browser will give you info on each server including the version of Q3 that was being run on the server and the map. If it is running on something other than 1.32 move on. Servers run older versions because they do a better job on certain mods or allow commands/options that newer versions don't.
