No. It is most certainly a constant.

Nope, Time is relative

Yeah, reletively constant.

unless you're travelling at the speed of light
Re: times to

then it's just relative

I travel at the speed of light all the time. I don't FEEL any differnt.

except when you get home and you see that you're as old as your mother

My mother died 623 years ago. Ha! Yer wrong. I'm only 40.

When did you start travelling at the speed of light, this way I can calculate that given your age (40 right?) exactly when your mother died. heh

Well actually no, I'm being a retard, gimme the year that your mother died/dies and the year you started travelling at the speed of light and your year of birth then I can sorta calculate it...and if I find out you're living in the future I will be highly dubious.

Why is it thought that if you travel at the speed of light time would be altered? I forgets

To alter time, you have to travel faster than the speed of light.
Traveling at light speed is constant. No change, but faster than, now your altering time. IE: Jumping into the future.
Traveling slower than light speed, time reversal.
Light speed is constant, and unchangeable, so time travel, is an impossibility.
Hope that clarified your issue.

Everything in this post is wrong.

No it's not. It's clearly true that any time you go slower than the speed of light, time flows backward. Duh.

Wait. You said that too fast.

I read and quoted Turing's post before he posted it or any of you read it. If you think the timestamp on this post is wrong, it's because you're traveling slower than the speed of light. OWNT.
