I love my job, but

Don't know if you guys remember me posting about the woman I work with on Wednesday nights (Patti) that sits there open mouth, projectile burping, but tonight I finally had enough. Several of us had mentioned to my supervisor before that Patti needed to be approached about it. Roberta just wouldn't do it. So I brought it up again tonight. Roberta says okay, I'll talk to her but I'll need you there for support.

So I go down to Bert's desk to offer her my "support," she stands up and says "Patti, Jane says there's a problem...tell her Jane." I just said "you need to keep your mouth closed when you burp, it's making us sick." Patti started crying and Berta turned red, jumped up and said she felt terrible.

What the fuck.

lmao! you shouldn't be talking shit about people behind their backs. the first time the bitch burped with her fat face open you should have told her about herself. now it's a big ass female drama thing, good one. lmao!

casedogg speaks the truth... you've widened the scope of the problem by not dealing with it yourself

:olo: Bert just sent me an email "I totally cracked, I'm so sorry. She's very upset, I'm still talking to her."

Fucking hell. Just close your fucking mouth when you burp, what's there to cry about?

There's more to it than that. If I had done it alone, it would have started a war. I also lost my opportunity to ask her to chew with her mouth closed and cover her mouth when she yawns. I also would have loved to tell her to wash her stinking snatch since no one can go anywhere near a stall she's dropped her drawers in. They seriously had automatic air fresheners installed in all the ladies rooms because of her. But would anyone tell her it was her ass? And could she please wash it? No.

Btw, I just got another memo from Bert. Patti's still crying. It's been 30 minutes and she now "hates life and everything."

BBL, I'm going back down there. Let's see how much she keeps crying when I get there.

ah yes, it's almost as easy as telling someone right away they are doing something that bothers you and maintaining their trust because you were so straight with them.

Yeah, I'd be plotting Roberta's demise next. I try very hard to ignore co-workers dumb habits (like this woman I work with loves to sing, she knows she can't she says it every day... I love her to death but I would rather listen to a cat go through a meat grinder). But sometimes you just can't.

I usually wait WAY too long to tell them though (which may be the case here) and by the time I do, I'm pissed off and am a cunt about the whole situation.

She needed to know that she was being a disgusting pig and unfortunetly you got stuck with it wabbit. Maybe she will stop now at least. I'm going to assume Bert was too worried about causing the same reaction and that is why he didn't take care of it, but the other girl shouldn't have stuck it to you like that anyways.

At least you can't get in trouble at work or anything. You told your boss it was making you sick and it's not fair you had to sit and deal with it anymore anyways...

I guess I'm too cold hearted and I wouldn't really care all that much that she was blubbering to me boss... maybe she should learn some work place etiquette instead...

Holly fuck, thank God I don't work in an "office", never will.

Just reading the post talking about it, Wabbit, it makes me want to vomit in to someones mouth, and then make them eat it. I just cant stand "office talk", "office people", "office anything". My God, wow, fuck you people are like fucking drones man.

No offence to anyone, just get out of there while you still can, and go live your life man!!

I went downstairs and she was still sobbing. She basically cried for an hour and was still crying as she walked out the door. I think there would have been less tears if someone died.

I waited too long, but I really didn't want to be the one to tell her because I'm too direct and I have the finesse of a jack hammer. Also, we're not the best of friends. I thought it would be better received if someone else told her. Oh well.

that sucks wabbit, and even though I agree with most people, I'm sure being a girl you have to consider things that most of us would find a waste of time.... anyway the cat is out the bag now so hang in there cause the next few days will feel weird.

ps

lol girl drama

So let me get this straight:

1) Instead of handling conflict directly, you've escalated it and involved more people.
2) You've alienated your co-worker.
3) You've lowered your co-worker's morale.
4) You're wasting valuable time on dumb shit.

I'm sorry. I'm glad I don't work with YOU.
