I bought my in Thailand for the simple fact that it was cheap (payed 270€). I have to admit, it's very cool to play arround with it, but you have to install a bunch of crap in order to make it work "properly".

When you are used to a normal cellphone and switch to the iphone you lack alot of little options:

- issue with number recognition, had to install fix for it
- doesn't have sms delivery status
- no native MMS
- had to install a fix to disable the auto-correction
- doesn't show sms character limit
- typing is very crap, even with my little fingers

But, it does have alot of cool stuff though, you can install alot of 3d party applications, themes and games via the installer and it's fun to use.

luckily it has a battery life of about 30 minutes! OWNED

after plugs into ur comp and all that it'll send all ur info to apple

that should fix it right up!!

My wife has one and she's not that impressed with it either.

-no tactile responsiveness on the damned thing, other than power. This is a huge hangup for me. I like my undo, hangup, forward / back music / browser and autodial hotkeys. Other than it being a big, sleek and shiny object that holds lots of music/video, my feeling is why not go with the Ipod touch and have a small phone for phone stuff?
It just seems like not only a phone / pda but especially a music device should be capable of operation without your absolute, undivided attention.

In some cases I will avoid a product simply because I don't want to be "one of those people". I'd rather have my perfectly capable blackberry phone than a device that I would never truly use but I have just because its the cool new fad. I don't know, something about Apple branded stuff just rubs me the wrong way.

really? what's so bad about windows mobile? i can't remember if i'm running 5 or 6 and it hasn't crashed on me at all. i'm using a motorola q.
