spyware would be myfirst guess mate. using xp?
try disabled the firewall for those updates and streaming shit. otherwise virus scan and spyware.

start > run > "msconfig" without the "'s. Though this is kind of an extension of Oblivi0.on's post.

there've been some sans alerts about major dns pharming/poisoning vulerabilities this week. My
ISP's DNS was downfor seemed like a couple of days, though they claim it wasn't due to an attack *cough fucking whatever *cough.
