I was playing Time Shift (Great game btw) and my computer just shut down. No blue screen or anything.
Is that the Power supply?
Oh btw I can't start the computer anymore.
I'm guessing it's the power supply but it could be anything so before I go out and buy another power supply for my gaming rig I would check here to see if that;s the case.
Thanks

wow, it can be a few things..
try unplugging it, Pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.. then wait another 5-10 seconds plug it back in and power it on..
and btw, are you getting any reaction from it at all?

No reaction from it all. But what puzzles me is that the standby LED is lit.

That rules out the fuse.
Power supply is most likely followed by motherboard.
You don't have an old PSU around somewhere, or a friend with one?

Ok this is what I did this morning, I replaced the Power supply now I get power but I can't get it to post. I think it took out my Mother Board. You're right Foo. I'm thinking the Northbridge took a shit. Since that's usually the first thing to go. My DFI DK X38 acutually has a cooling fan on the Northbridge and I'm not talking a tiny fan I mean a CPU Fan. I really like that board I will have to get another one.

You could check with DFI if the Mobo can get RMA'd under warrenty.
i'de be a little worried about the CPU if the Mobo is Shot.

The DFI is in my work computer this is the one I want to get for my gaming rig.
I really like it. I think I have an ASUS in my Gaming computer atm. It's been 6 months since that was put together.
As far as the CPU goes I have a Quad ready to go in at any time. So when I get the new Motherboard I will put in my 6600 in there and overclock it to 4ghz. This will make my games spring to life!

It's good that you have parts standing by. However, games still won't make full use of powerful duos and quads. They're still very much dependent on video RAM

I all ready have a 8800 Ultra so that's not a problem.
