My brother has some footage that was editing using Canopus' EzEdit but the problem is, it was done on his friend's computer and I've tried everything I can think of to help my brother to be able to edit this footage but nothing seems to support it. If he saves it in EzEdit as an .avi will he be able to edit the footage later?

what codec is he using when he is saving the AVI?

if the other computer has the codec then yes, he would be able to edit it after in Ane editing proggy that supports AVI's.

if the editing is important, i'd say dump it to uncompressed AVI, it will be big as hell but easy to edit with whateverthefuckyouwant.
+ you won't fuck up the quality worse by re-compressing it.

I told him that if it wasn't encoded he would most likely have no issues editing it. Thanks for the help guys.
