I have a bit of a problem with Internet Explorer 7 and so am using Firefox 3.0.
IE keeps shutting down on me. Live messenger when I go to my inbox also shuts down because when it goes to inbox, it uses Internet Explorer instead of Firefox.
I set Firefox to be default, but I guess Live messenger doesnt care and uses IE.
Is there a way or setting to force msn live messenger to use firefox?

i agree with Therac, try a different messenger: trillian, pidgin, or digsby.

Stuffplug will do the trick as well as add some other stuff to Messenger. Keep in mind that the full version of Live Mail isn't supported in Firefox 3 as of yet. Last I heard Microsoft is aware and working on the issue.

Thanks for the answers. Are these other messenger programs like firefox is with IE, in that they will import windows live information so as not to lose contacts etc.

Pretty much all of them will do that. Just install trillian or pidgin, log-in with your normal messanger account and away you go. Contacts and everything still there.
