Is there a way to take screenshots in a resulution higher than the monitors maximum?

It's a hassle and time consuming, but it's possible to stitch screenshots together. Someone made a screenshot of Platypus in 7708 * 2827.
It shows a full 360°/180° panorama of the map.

yea.. with a low fov (~55).. roll the cam 90° so you get portrait format then shoot 1 pic every 24° (15 pics) then tilt the cam up 45° and shot 15 pics again then down 45° and 15 pics again.. then youll have 45 pics at 720p in my case and you gotta stitch it in some app of your choice, i used hugin but you can use realviz stitcher too.

Can't you just r_fullscreen 0 and set r_customaspect 1 ?

fjoggs, that only works up to the maximum resolution that your vidcard&monitor can handle.

It's not monitor dependant. It's up to the maximum you have configured your drivers to allow, and what the video card can handle.
