I get this when I try and run Unreal Tournament 2004 on my machine, anyone know what is going on, no mods, some custom maps I think. Anyone got a solution?

EDIT: Well it stopped, for now, but does anyone know what causes this?

unless you have nothing wrong with your current setup.

i would also like to point out that i DO help people. all the time. i was once even suggested for a mod place here in T&T.

i just dont help agent smith or KoS. since they showed up T&T has dropped like a fucking rock. this place is retarded now. every thread the two of you are in turns into a flame war.

this one would have had i not hit it first. because i think agent has a hardon for me :icon1:

It's not that I disagree with anything you've said, I just think turning into an arsehole to counteract them might be making things worse.

I had that same error in America's Army (UT-based) and the only recourse was to uninstall it and reinstall.

Well I uninstalled and updated my video drivers and so far there haven't been any crashes

Or you realize having outdated drivers that the manufacturer went to the trouble of writing an update to is not a good thing.

how is it not a good thing if you have no problems with the last set of drivers?

Partly true.

On the flipside, they may be adding support for newer cards, and personally I find that older cards run at varying speeds with different drivers, as the manufacturers cater more to the medium-high stuff than the 'old hat' things you've already bought.

Well my UT2k4 issues have been dissolved, but I still have RTCW issues.

So I have RTCW installed, run all the updates and whatnot (fresh install) put all my maps in and it crashes very randomly and sparatically. Sometimes I believe it to be a PB thing. So I uninstall and reinstall but don't pt any maps or anything in and it still crashes to desktop and sometimes BSODs. Now the BSODs only happen in RTCW, anyone know what is wrong?

Well my graphics card is a BFG Tech that is 20MHz OCed on the core by default. The proc is a Athlon 2600 Mobile running at 2.4, so yes my processor is overclocked.

Hmm, I seem to be getting it now, but only on one double domination map, and only after I have scored 2 points(the map requires 3 points to win, as its Single Player)
