I think you need what's called the Pandora battery to change the PSP Slim & Lite to homebrew. I heard that they are hard to get hold of but you can send your PSP to someone that has one and they can do it for you.

The slims can be modded in like 5 minutes. All you have to do is cut a lead on the stock battery to turn it into a pandora. Go buy the extended battery to replace the one you mod with. You’ll be out the $30-40 it’ll cost to replace the battery. There’s actually a way you can still use the stock battery if you really are a cheap shit.

Its actually really easy, I did it a couple months ago.

The "extended" battery is bigger isn't it? There's a bigger cover for it that doesn't come with it for some reason. It must make your PSP not so slim and the back uneven.

the battery is the same size, it's a 2200mAh as compaired to the 1200 the psp comes with

the one i bought is actually bigger, but it _did_ come with the bigger battery cover. you could buy another stock battery if it really bothers you. i tend to appreciate the extra battery life that the extended battery offers. + the extra width that it adds to the slim makes it easier to hold.

is it a sony product? the sony ones i saw in the store didn't look any bigger
