Go get an antispyware software? Sounds pretty obvious, doesn't it?

Ad-aware and Windows Defender are free.

Yes it does sound obvious. I have defender and I ran adaware and spybot. Nothing worked.

Then you certainly could have mentioned that. Any other details you'd like to reveal or should I keep guessing?

Any programs that you installed recently?
Are you getting this popup when using IE, FF, or when just in Windows?
Have you tried using HijackThis and looking for suspicious entries?

Got rid of godaddy popups, but it keeps saying there is a virus in C/windows/ieexplore. I deleted that file which is where the godaddy thing was.

Keeps saying the same abouit ieexplore and the systen name is in C/windows/system32/cfmom.exe.

I have deleted this file several times but it comes back upon reboot.

The acer site was down and I tried using driver detective to download drivers. This is where all this crap came from.

NP. Just make sure you post more info about the exact problem next time otherwise it'll be all guesswork for anyone trying to help you.
