Quake3World

I used to play Quake 3 Arena online back in 04-05. Well it's been a long time and I thought I'd give quake another go. I installed it, finished the campaign in 5 hours. Now I want to play online again. But there is a problem. The thing that detects servers says that there is No Response from the master server. Do I need a patch or something? I have version 1.0 I think. And I didnt enter the CD key. I just hit accept when it popped up. Is that ok?

You and I both, brother. That was almost the exact same story for me last night. I whipped out the old CD and decided I'd go get stomped online because single player wasn't much of a challenge, even after the off time.

Download the 1.32 and 1.32c patches (make sure to unzip 1.32c in your Quake program folder after downloading 1.32) and enter your CD key. I had the exact same problem last night, but those two things fixed it right up and I proceeded to get violated on an epic scale.

Step 1: Get QTracker.
Step 2: Get a room yuh freaks.

Poeto, thanks man. But I'm on dial up so that'll take a um...long time. But It'll be soooooo worth it! Er....mabie cause I get pwned a lot. XD

Do yourself a favor and get dsl. on average it is ~$5 more expensive, and unless you get like $2/m internet, it is signifacantly more it.

it still is regardless of what you are paying now.

i have a 1mbps connection for $25/m.

i downloaded and installed both the patches, inserted the CD Key, but still no response..
also got the cd in while playing,
still nothing..

do i have to do something more?

I think he needs to use less fail.
