quake 3 install help!

I have windows XP, but i'm not able to install quake 3 arena. I bought the game, but when i insert the disk and i click on install it doesn't do anything. Is there any way to install quake 3 arena with Windows XP???

Create a Quake 3 folder, Copy the Baseq3 folder from the CD into Said Quake 3 folder.. Download and install the 1.32 patch to the Quake 3 folder..
Start quake3.exe and enter in your CD-Key and you're rollin.

in said quake 3 folder, download and put
PBSetup.exe and run it if u want to play online.

Use either windows explorer, or something similar to browse the files on the cd. Then copy/paste them as AmidY suggested.

How do I browse the files of the CD with internet explorer??

You dont use Internet explorer, you use EXPLORER.... go to my computer, right click on the CD-rom, Explore.

Yes he did, it was very similar to his second post except it was along the lines of 'how do I look at the files when it won't do anything when I click install' or something like that.

also, if you have windows defender running, turn it off first.
windows defender automatically kills processes that start with _. the old installshield processes start with _.
protip for ya when installing older games on XP.
