Black Monday on Wall Street??

"In one of the most dramatic days in Wall Street history, Bank of America has offered $29 a share for Merrill Lynch, while Lehman Brothers was expected to file for bankruptcy."

"The United States is mired in a "once-in-a century" financial crisis which is now more than likely to spark a recession, former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan said Sunday."

Now I'm scared. Hold on to your hats.

No no..it's all good. Sean Hannity said that the idea that the economy is in dire straits is based on a lie perpetuated by the democrats, and he has the unemployment numbers to prove it.
He said this as recently as last week even, so, really, cheer up.

Everything is going to be okay. Do not panic. Go directly to a gas station near you and fill your tank. Once again, everything is alright.

On a radio commercial, they said to fill your tank because prices are going to go up from the hurricane blah blah blah and then DIRECTLY AFTER and in the SAME SENTENCE, they said AND GO GET YOUR TICKETS FOR THE BIG GAME etc. fucking stupid.

Don't get all confused now, my friendly kiwi. Our society isn't crumbling...it can't cause we still have all the guns. :smirk: It's merely our economy that's crumbling. The US won't crash and burn. We will survive, because we're REALLY good at doing just that. :D

Yea, as recently as Friday I found out one of my co-workers is a huge Hannity fan (along with OReilly and Limbaugh). It's so tempting to bring this up. Must............refrain........

And yea, a lot of gas stations were sold out of gas here Saturday night due to the panic buying.

This mess just proves that the Republican way of doing things is the best way. If you want your prosperous and respected country to go into the shitter VOTE REPUBLICAN!! Then...like a Republican, when the whole thing falls apart bail out the billionaires while blaming "socialism" for being there to bail them out.

Hell...that "history" of right-wingers fucking up anything they touch in every single administration they've ever run is a blatant, liberal-biased lie and I'll send Sean Hannity after anyone who says different.
