A Crashing Problem

I'm not sure if this has been a problem with 1.32. But sometimes when I am hit a certain way with the plasma gun, the game freezes for a second and then quits, I have not seen it happen with any other weapon. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yes, with a video card that overheated. You might want to check that yours doesn't.

Did you start having this problem with 1.32? It never happened with any earlier versions.

Nope, it wasn't version related. Maybe 1.32 irks your video/sound drivers in curious ways. What are your system's specs?

hmm, i'm not too sure where to find that. All I know is I recently went to an iMac G5 from a G4 and am still having the same problem. so i'm guessing the problem is a corrupt file, thing is if that's the problem, I have no idea what file it would be.

try a reinstall.
or, try opening the console and type
/cg_oldplasma 1
its a bit of a stretch, but in one of the later patches id changed the way the plasmabolts looked. perhaps this is corrupt in some way, using above code changes it back to the old style

No but you can type /cg_oldplasma to see what it is set to (it should say it's set to 1 if you set it to 1).

Well I did what was suggested and it still happens. It has to be a corrupt file somewhere, I don't know what else it can be.
