i don't want to pay more than a grand (£) for it.

i need it mainly to entertain me while I'm waiting for or participating in long haul flights. (films/games)

i don't think want a mac. I can't see much advantage in having one, other than they look sexy.

do i want a dell?

i think i'd quite like a metal body.

The 15" Studio models really weren't much cheaper, but the Inspiron lines are cheaper. And the new minis are pretty cool.

If anyone has an old laptop they want to get rid of let me know, I'm looking to run a Linux only laptop.
