Quake3World

I know this is last minute, and I should've posted about this before but...

I'm running 3 Q3:CPMA competitions at the GXL ( http://www.thegxl.com ), a Millville, NJ LAN that's primarily a fundraiser event for the Rescue Squad (where the event is hosted). One 1v1 is for amateur quaker's with skill, other is for the lesser skilled (and dead pan beginners). There is also a 2v2 CA competition. There will be plenty of PUBLIC server action (CA/TDM/CTF mostly) and seperate practice servers. Stats will be kept for the Match and Public servers, with a prize for the man (or woman) at the top of the Public Server stats ranking at the end of the LAN!

If anyone is interested the info is on the site. The competitions themselves are free, prizes will be a mix of hardware + swag through sponsors for all 3 events (top 3 for each competition). Check the latest news post for reduced entry fee info if you are serious about coming!

And if you do come, let me know -- it's great bumping into Q3W'ers

Wish I knew about this earlier

Don't worry, I'll be doing it again at the next LAN! Only with more tournaments and more modes! They tend to run 2 a year, March and October so plan on a LAN in March

Based on what gamers at the event came up to me and said I have a feeling the next event will have an even larger Q3 turnout. Total turnout at the event was around 300'ish
