Many people don't realize that climate change can mean more snow in places.

I have one of those in our math department. Every time its cold you can hear him walking past the science rooms yelling about "WHERE'S MY GLOBAL WARMING!" and he actually interrupted a lecture of mine once to jump in and inform my class that you could fit over a million earths in the Sun, yet we think that humans are to blame for climate change. My response wasn't very professional (though neither was his interruption.) He happens to be a young earth creationist, so he doesn't always interpret data very reasonably.

All I try to get through to my students is that even if they disagree with the science, there is something to be said for millions and millions of people making small changes in their lifestyle to work towards helping the problem and that at the end of the day nature is going to win anyhow.

But lets not let all this ruin the love fest that is q3w. We've gotten along for years without arguing.
