At least according to Wired magazine:
Clicky
And to make a prediction: Star Wars: The Old Republic will not be as good as everyone thinks it'll be.

It's an MMO, of course it'll be shit.
I disagree about Dead Space though. It was a fun survival-horror shooter with a good plot.

The part about Spore was dead on. That game turned out to a be a pre-school version of what it was hyped to be. Oh well.

I didn't think Clear Sky was all that bad. Didn't play any of the others. The GPS thing he mentioned, the only real difference on the maps is showing where most NPCs are located. They seemed to have fixed most of the bugs as well.

I still can't believe Fallout 3 got 100/100, lmao I will never bother reading that company's reviews again.

i agree'd with Dr_watson's view on FO3, But i'm actually going now on one of my old games and Checking out the map... there are a TON of city's/quests/jobs/shit/people/etc that i didnt know about.
there are around 200 points on interest in the map, anything from the main towns/vaults/etc.. to "Random" encounters that happen in the same place on the map
When i finished the game, i was at ~20 ish, i am going back now to check the other ones out... including the Mutant Tree... i want to talk to that MoFo.
Btw, yea, 100/100 is a little Steep..

My only gripe with Fallout 3 was the fact that after I got my pellet gun I couldn't go back upstairs to the birthday party and shoot that asshole kid.

no, they haven't.
patch 1.5.07 (the latest) is a complete pos, as was 1.5.05
every patch GSC brings out fucks up your saves, new patch, then start the game from scratch..........again and again and again
the only thing CS is good for is giving you CTD's
fuck, they fired the lead programmer three weeks after CS came out because of all the gamebreaking bugs.
SoC is only playable because of what the modding community have done (no help from GSC btw who still refuse to release the SDK)

I haven't had to start over with the patches. Maybe having the steam version has something to do with it. It hasn't crashed on me since 1.5.07. I'm currently playing SoC unmodded also and haven't had any problems. Also steam version. Guess I just got lucky.

I agree with the list, Spore 100%, but Dead Space was fantastic. That doesn't deserve to be on the "top 10 worst..." of anything. Maybe "top 10 best of 2008" if I'm honest.

True, I got my own back later on by watching her die after being attack by those things, then beating him to death.

They got it totally wrong about the new PoP. Then again they were wrong about the sequels to SoT too

They should make a list of the ten worst video games of all time. Anyone got any contenders?

with regards to SoC are you playing on the 1.0006 patch?
the reason I ask is that it has been recalled because of the problems it was creating also it was only meant as a MP patch, but having said that I know a lot of players have np with 1.0006 except when it comes to mods
most of the mods are on 1.0004 or 1.0005.
some really good mods out now for SoC,
PRIBOI STORY by dezodor, Oblivion Lost [by Kanyhalos],N.E.W.S.A by Nightwatch et al
I'm glad to hear you're having np with CS, you are indeed one of the lucky ones.

No, it's 1.0005. I'll probably check out some of the mods after I make my first run through it. I did have some crashing problems with CS 1.5.05, usually when I got caught in an anomaly or emission. But since the .07 patch it's been smooth.

Just finished Too Human and Wired was right to put it on the list. The story, concept, and characters were great but the gameplay fell short at every turn. Hopefully they'll overhaul it for the sequels.

Mario Kart Wii is actually fun as hell, and I have no trouble with the steering wheel.
My only objection is that the manual transmission setting is frustrating, and doesn't make a lot of sense.
Didn't play any of the other games, but I have been hearing about STALKER for years.. wasn't aware that it was even released. Appearantly I didn't miss much.
