Tumor in baby's brain had partial foot on it

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A pediatric neurosurgeon says a tumor he removed from the brain of a Colorado Springs infant contained a tiny foot and other partially formed body parts.
I've seen some nasty tumors before with little tufts of hair, tooth, etc., on them...that had to be a sight. Poor kid.

Sometimes a tumor can originate from an unfertilized egg. So you basically have half the blueprints for a person there (1 set of chromosomes instead of 2). That fact isn't terribly relevant, but the thing is that in some of the tumors different genes are being read and as a result you can have little tufts of hair, maybe some keratinized tissue, etc., based on what genes are being expressed where. They are called teratomas.....I always referred to it as a 'terrible toomah'.

Truly the stuff of nightmares.
The possibilty of parasitic worms living inside your bowels already freaks me out, but knowing a semi-human growth could reside inside every one of us just takes it to a whole disgusting other level.
