Can one of the Q3W Doctors read between the lines for me?

				I got an email from a very dear friend this morning;
"Please keep us in your prayers, blessings and thoughts. Charlie has been diagnosed with a blood clot in the brain and an irregular heart beat. I truly pray that he will be back to his old self very soon."
How serious does this sound? I'm wondering if I should send flowers or go visit him. If it's likely he'll be okay, I'll leave him to rest at the hospital, and visit him when he comes home. If it sounds bad, I'll go see him at the hospital.

This occurs when bleeding takes place between the brain and the skull. The blood then forms a clot, which puts pressure on brain tissue, which in turn affects the brain's functions.

Kind of...
I know a bit about blood clots as my grandfather had a couple in his last few years. Not all are bad, they can be treated with blood thinners and the patient can have a full recovery. It's the irregular heartbeat in parallel that has me worried.

				Hes fine.
If hes in bed or 'tired' when you see him next, hes faking it and you should instantly kick him out and tell him to get a job the lazy fucker.

My mom passed away last monday and I didn't make it up there to see her in time. I was really upset about that.
Go see him, cause you never know what can happen.

There could be a million reasons he didn't make it in time. Why are you being such an ass to him?

I think that the big danger with blood clots is not simply their existence, unless they're occluding a critical blood flow. The real hazard is where they can end up when they break loose before the docs can administer clot-busting medications.
As for the irregular heartbeat, that can be caused by a million things, so from what you were told, you really can't say.

Thanks for defending me while I was away @ a ball game.
I live 1200 miles away. I couldn't get a flight for 2 days so I started to drive up cause I could get there in one day and I was about 6 hours away when I got the call. So thats why I was saying go see him because my mom died about 22 hours after going in the hospital, it was real sudden. I wish your friend well.
Honorable mention to MQ, phantasmagoria, and mik0rs for thier comments to bork.

Insert generic "Hey look at me make a predictable, generic, insensitive comment on the internet - look at me...look at me dammit" comment here.
It's a tired bit.

you're a damn moron.
condolences spleeb
It would be a nice idea to visit the person CB, the irregular heartbeat could be fibrilliation of the atrium which could be the cause of the bloodcloth.
