Just curious. I installed it a while back and couldn't get it working correctly, namely the transparency.

Odd. I'm pretty sure it's just fake transparency (i.e. it copies the root window background into it's own buffer), so it's not something that's dependent on hardware like the compositing wms are. I know a coworker had issues getting the double buffering working properly without hardware acceleration, but that's the worst I've heard. What happened when you enabled it?

The background is grey and the program is contained in a window rather than becoming seamless on the desktop (i.e. there's a top border with minimize/close buttons etc.), plus on occasion the location of the window resets itself to the bottom-left corner of my desktop and puts itself behind all other windows.
