Looking for some cool quake 3 arena art for tattoo ideas. I want to do a sleeve from my knee down to my ankle with some bad ass quake shit! Any links to websites and such would help....thank you toolshed

I have a color version of that pic, I got it from the
Quake The Wall site. I actually gave the pic to my tattoo artist so he can edit it, and make it somewhat tribal. It's a good pic..just isn't good enough though(for me). I'm going to have it added to the inside of my right arm from wrist to elbow..well maybe not that long..but just a little bit shorter than that.
I was gonna ask if anybody possibly knows, if their was some place that ID software got an idea for the Quake Symbol/Icon. A long time back, someone had a pic of a Mayan rock with a symbol that looked like the Quake symbol. It was kind of odd...but I'm sure someone out there that may know? Or not...

For the Quake 1 logo the link to the letter Q is easily made. Since the Q3 logo is an adaption of the Q1 logo, I think spookmineer's explanation shouldn't be wide off the mark.
