Mirsosoft Issue when launching Q3 demp

Hello,
I am receiving an microsoft error report when trying to launch the q3 demo application. It gives me the option to send or not send an error report. when i click on either it goes back to the desktop screen. below are the details from the error log. Any help is appreciated...
Faulting application quake3.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module acxtrnal.dll, version 5.1.2600.0, fault address 0x00006e1a.

Try installing updated graphics drivers for your video card.

say no more , 99% sure you need to get a better video card.
although , like Foo said .. uodate your video card drivers and you might get lucky that it supports opengl and has enough shared memory to run quake3 and Windows decent enough.
the actual error is a windows compatibilty problem.

thanks all..
The pc used to run q3 but i had to re-install win xp pro from win home. Is there a way to find out who the manufacturer is for the on board video so i can get the drivers?
I went to device manager and it says video controller VGA compatible but no manufacturer is listed.
