				Doom 3 spinoff on iPhone

				It's called "Doom Ressurrection" and was developed by John Carmack and an 8 man team. It has 8 levels and represents about 5 hours of gameplay. It runs on 30 frames per second.

				Yeah, on rails with limited view movement while tilting the screen...
Which just screams odd to me. You still have to aim, but to look around you move the phone... Thats gotta be tough

Yes, because the Wii Remote is a better control alternative than Mouse and Keyboard...  

Oh and just to be clear about this: That is an anti-Wii sentiment.

				looks pretty ugly. just using the colormaps from doom3 won't cut it. there is not a single shadow visible. the doom3 media is not meant to be used that way it just looks flat and ugly with no depth.
you should see what ngmoco is doing with the quake3 engine on the iphone, with dynamic light effects etc. that alot is more impressive than what mr. carmack has to offer here.. well well
