Another way to verify version

When I open console to verify 1.32c it's cut off and I can't see if it's b or c. Is there another way to verify? Thx

type \version in the quake 3 console
or
start a map .. once in the map hit escape then click on "server info"
mine only shows 1.32 and the date OCT 7 2002.. i don't think i have 1.32 C installed

Get it cause it has one or two serious security holes fixed. It's in the Downloads section of the Q3W forums
Funnily enough.
Edit: to the o.p.: Maybe you need to adjust your monitor so it doesn't cut off the right side of the screen. If you can't do that, try running the game in windowed mode (Alt+Enter to switch back and forth). That way you should be able to see the edge clearly.
