Oh, and yeah, it IS using the doom 3 engine, but looks far better in terms of visual impact.

I don't think we're allowed to post scans here...
(Does posting links to them count?)

Looks exactly the same to me. Hell, it could be another D3 expansion if you hadn't specified it was another game.

Wow, I like it.
I look forward to this -- and does this mean the new Duke Nukem will use DOOM 3's engine?
This line only remake is total rubbish I've ever seen!!! Fuck off!!! --CZghost

Coming from the makers of not only Duke, but also Blood and Shadow Warrior, I'd say it will.

I have screenshots of it on an old Duke3d disk from 96.

I remember the original gameplay concept for Prey was that you would be fighting supraintelligent enemies who would navigate the map under the same limitations as the player. They would have similar health/damage levels and they would be able to pickup the same weapons and items as the player. Now, while that sounded really exciting back in '96 I think that concept is virtually identical to Q3/UT .. so now it's just gonna be another FPS game using the Doom3 engine =/

I don't know about prey, but that little 20-minute preview of a working, playable DN Forever they talked about sounded pretty damn awesome. Hard to read in those crappy scans, but I couldn't stop.
Released in 2006.

It's not AI navigating single player missions, they said it would be mostly one on one combat. In one level, you'd fight at most 3 or 4 enemies before moving on. The article I read explicitly mentioned that the designers were trying to make you feel as if you were battling real human opponents.

Wait a minute, I looked at the pics, saw a piece of an article for DNF. Does that relate to the screenshots you're showing us or is that a seperate article? If so, holy shit.

Yay...yet another FPS game full of monsters and bullshit that will eat your head off unless you blast it full of lead or some futuristic ammunition...
