a few years ago, i had uninstalled q3 - stupid decision i admit...
when i wanted to reinstall it later, i noticed my disk was cracked in half

long store short i just got another copy now, like 8 years later or somthing stupid like that...

i loaded it up palms sweating from excitement. and nothing, no active servers...

so does anyone still paly? i see a few active posts on here, but no servers on q3.

i know i used to play instaunlagged mod (the railgun only stuff) and i was hoping to get back into it. do people still paly this mod? the normal game?

any imput would be greatly appriciated.

Quake 3's a myth.

Nobody ever played it.

Since you've been away from q3 you might not know about quake live. Pretty much the same as q3a, but free and browser based. Many 'new' players there too.

Otherwise download a server browser.

Doesn't sound like you're going to get a straight answer around here. Read the beginner's guide. Link is at the top of the page. It will tell you how to join servers. I'm not sure I'd want to play with this crowd.

(back in july) he got two straight answers the very next day, princess:
quake live has an instagib mode (one of the unranked gametypes in the game browser). http://www.quakelive.com
the server browser in q3a doesn't really work anymore, so download an external one. http://www.qtracker.com/

you know it's not really 'this crowd' that's upsetting you. fix your computer, settle your debts or come to terms with impotence. whatever your problem is, don't bring it here unless it's ql/q3-related.
